Microsoft ActiveSync lets you sync your Windows Mobile device with your computer, so your info is backed up and easily editable on your computer.
ActiveSync acts as the gateway between your Microsoft Windows-powered PC and Windows Mobile device and allows you to sync Microsoft Outlook information, Microsoft Office documents, pictures, music, videos and applications.
In addition to synchronizing directly with a computer, ActiveSync allows you to sync wirelessly with Microsoft Exchange Server (2003 and above). Using a data connection from your mobile service provider, you can keep your email, calendar, tasks and contacts updated wirelessly when you're away from your computer.
