Use your phone as a wireless modem.

Use your phone as a wireless modem.2

  • Surf the web on your laptop without Wi-Fi, DSL, or cable.2,3 Access the Internet on your laptop at broadband-like speeds4 without having to find or pay extra to use a Wi-Fi hotspot. Just connect the Palm® Treo™ 700wx smartphone to your laptop via Bluetooth® or the included USB cable. Then surf the Internet, send and receive email using your favorite email application, and access files from a server—just as you would if you were using DSL, cable Internet, or Wi-Fi.2,3 With this dial-up networking (DUN) connection, you shouldn't need to buy any extra hardware or carry a separate PC wireless data card.

  • Fast download speeds with EvDO. EvDO speeds on your laptop mean you can download pages faster—at an average connection speed of 400-600kbps using a USB connection.4

  • Connect and charge. Plug the Treo 700wx smartphone into your laptop using the included USB cable.3 When you connect with USB, you'll be charging your Treo at the same time you're using your laptop.

  • Put the Internet on hold.4 While you're using your Treo as a modem, you should still be able to make and receive calls—the dial-up networking connection will simply be suspended while your call is in progress.

  • Note: Dial-up networking connection only available for the Treo 700wx model.
