Palm, Inc. Policy for Outside Submissions
Unsolicited Idea Submissions
Thank you for your interest. Palm does not accept or consider unsolicited ideas, including ideas for new advertising campaigns, new promotions, new or improved products or technologies, product enhancements, processes, materials, marketing plans or new product names. Please do not submit any unsolicited ideas, original creative artwork, suggestions or other works (“submission”) in any form to Palm or any of its employees. In our experience, most of the new ideas suitable for our use originate within Palm, rather than outside of it. This is because the company has a talented business, marketing, scientific and technical staff that is continuously working to improve our business and products. The purpose of this policy is to avoid potential misunderstandings or disputes when Palm’s products or strategies might seem similar to ideas submitted to Palm.
If, despite our request that you not send us your ideas and materials, you still send them, then regardless of what your communication states, the following terms will apply to your submission.
Terms of Idea Submissions
You agree that:
- upon receipt by Palm, your submission and its contents will automatically become the property of Palm, and that Palm may make, use, sell, offer to sell, import, export, distribute, perform, display, reproduce, make derivative works, license, sublicense, or otherwise dispose of the submission and its contents for any purpose and in any way without compensation to you;
- notwithstanding the foregoing, there is no obligation for Palm to review or use the submission in any way; and
- there is no obligation that Palm keep any submission confidential or proprietary.
Feedback
Palm does welcome customer feedback regarding our existing products, packaging and support materials. If you want to send us your feedback, and we hope you do, we simply request that you send it to us using the form found at http://www.Palm.com/us/company/contacts.html. It’s just one more way that we can learn how to best satisfy our customers’ needs. Please, however, provide only specific feedback on Palm’s existing products, packaging and support materials. Do not include any new ideas that Palm’s policy does not allow us to accept or consider. Any feedback you provide at this site will be deemed to be non-confidential and Palm will be free to use such information in any way and for any purpose without compensation to you.
Palm Developer Network Program
We also are open to working with developers through our developer programs. The Palm Developer Network (PDN) is a comprehensive mobile solution community developer program that offers developers a broad set of technical, marketing and sales services that help you build your business with Palm - quickly and easily. PDN is for mobile hardware and software developers creating consumer, prosumer, enterprise and services solutions targeting Palm devices based on Palm OS® by ACCESS and Windows Mobile® Pocket PC by Microsoft, who are seeking to increase their solution sales, profitability and brand value.
